Mayberry Melonpool

Mayberry Melonpool is the television-addicted, somewhat clumsy, not-all-that-intelligent Captain of the "Steel Duck." Oh yeah, and he's obsessed with getting a date. In short, he doesn't have a lot going for him.

Comics: 240
Recent Appearance: April What?
First Appearance: New Beginnings!

Sam T. Dogg

Sam T. Dogg is completely out of his element. He’s super intelligent, a highly-skilled pilot and has the most common sense of anyone aboard the "Steel Duck." Also, no one takes him seriously because he’s a dog.

Comics: 214
Recent Appearance: April What?
First Appearance: Beating the Odds

Ha loved today’s comic as it speaks the truth of transformers toys.

How did he managed to get Earth’s toys? Does Hasbro & Kenner has really good distribution skills to get that far or they were copied from TV commercials?

This is all addressed on Saturday. I usually don’t do strips like this, if I don’t think these things through!

Contraband, right? Black Market Toy Smugglers from Alpha Centauri!
This reminds… how old would Melonpool be in Earth years?
Because it feels like he is digging through my childhood…

In the original continuity, Mayberry was a few years younger than I was — so I was born in 1972 and I had him born in 1976. I created Mayberry when I was six, so his “real birthdate” is 1978. This Mayberry feels a little younger than the old school one — so he’s probably around 28 or so in this continuity. I haven’t decided that yet, but I’m reasonably sure he’s not 39.
