Mayberry Melonpool is the television-addicted, somewhat clumsy, not-all-that-intelligent Captain of the "Steel Duck." Oh yeah, and he's obsessed with getting a date. In short, he doesn't have a lot going for him.
Vic was Mayberry‘s former boss and the owner of P.J. O’Earthy’s — an Earth-themed restaurant on a space station in the outskirts of the known universe. Like any T.G.I. Friday’s wannabe, it’s tacky and overpriced and known more for the kitsch than the food.
I tell you, it was pretty tough coming up with a job for Mayberry in this new universe — in the ten years that Melonpool hasn’t been updating regularly, we’ve seen the extinction of video stores and the near extinction of Rabbit Ears and he decline of both cable and Star Trek. There’s no much left to old school (1996-2005) Melonpool than all that!
