It’s up to these idiots to save to universe
Melonpool follows the adventures of several aliens as they explore the galaxy, dabble in time travel and try to blend into Earth society. Ranging in diverse personalities from pop culture-obsessed superfans to coffee-addicted meglomaniacs, pop star robots, telepathic dogs and a 220-lb, five-foot-tall hamster, they slowly have to learn to work together just to survive — and still find time to save the galaxy. It’s Star Trek meets Gilligan’s Island for geeks of all ages.
Join the crew of the Steel Duck as they get a crash course in Earth culture (literally), discover time travel, Internet dating, the “grey” side of the Force, cloning, mind swapping and try to blast off Earth before being discovered.
Join the crew of the Steel Duck as they delve into their past, save Christmas, avoid being captured by humans and (other) aliens, try to put Microsoft out of business, go to a convention, actually manage to blast off Earth and battle a giant space amoeba.
Join the crew of the Steel Duck as they lose their ship in a Los Angeles landmark, hang out with Star Wars refugees, create a comic strip to earn money, deal with the battle of the sexes, meet their guardian angels, get a cat and deal with a 102-year time loop.
Join the crew of the Steel Duck as they build a pop-star robot, are invaded by their Mirror Universe counterparts (as drawn by Paul Southworth), refit the ship, cross over with David Willis’ It’s Walky and blast off Earth (again — this time, for sure).
Join the crew of the Steel Duck as they find themselves stranded on a rogue asteroid, blow up their pop-star robot, create a more evil clone of their engineer and answer the biggest question in the universe: whatever happened to Lyman from Garfield?
Join the crew of the Steel Duck as they visit a few friends in Comic Limbo, go on more time travel adventures, hijack the ship from Ralph, staff an alien theme park on Earth, deal with an office romance, clone more of the crew and finally get home — sort of.
Join the crew of the Steel Duck as they battle their most deadly adversaries in an epic space battle, cross over with Mark Mekkes’ Zortic, learn that one of their crew is dying, and deal with infinite timelines — a side effect of too many time travel adventures.
A Captain without a spaceship. A Pilot without thumbs. An Engineer without patience. An Engine without food. Steve Troop reboots his Melonpool webcomic with all-new adventures set in an all-new universe. Whether you're a fan of the old Internet comic Melonpool or if you've never heard of it -- Melonpool Re-Ducks is a great book for you!
