Sam T. Dogg is completely out of his element. He’s super intelligent, a highly-skilled pilot and has the most common sense of anyone aboard the Steel Duck.

Also, no one takes him seriously because he’s a dog.

Sam serves as pilot and First Mate of the Steel Duck and manages to keep Mayberry out of trouble most of the time. Because he as no opposable thumbs and speaks via telepathy (he’s a strong “sender” but a lousy “receiver’), talking over the radio is extremely problematic for him.

Despite these weaknesses, his extreme loyalty and common sense make him a very valuable member of the crew….
